Bharati Vidyapeeth
Deemed University (BVDU), Pune was beginning in the year 1964. In 1996, the
Government of India, on the recommendation of the University Grants Commission,
granted the status of "Deemed to be University" to a cluster of 12
institutions of Bharati Vidyapeeth in appreciation of their academic
excellence.
The institute has contributed thousands of well trained
graduates, post graduates and research doctorates to the pool of professionals
in India and abroad.
The college has started five specialized research institutes
in the areas of Health Related Sciences, Biotechnology, Information Technology,
Applied Chemistry and Social Sciences.
The institute receives about 8000-10000 applications for
MBBS and PG courses every year. The applicants are from all over India and
abroad.
Eligibility:
Should have Passed MBBS from any Medical college which is
recognized by the Medical council of
India. Should have completed 1
year of compulsory rotating internship.
Admission process:
The first step towards gaining admission at this prestigious
institute is to appear for Bharati Vidyapeeth (BVP)'s CET as admissions are
based on the scores & ranks of this separate entrance test unlike most
other engineering colleges in Mumbai & Pune which conduct admissions
through MH CET scores.
Students have to qualify Entrance Test conducted by Bharati
Vidyapeeth Deemed University. The selection of the students is done based on
the ranks obtained in the all India Entrance Examination.
