Sri Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences (SLNIMS),
Pondicherry was started in 2006. The College is approved by Medical Council of
India (MCI), New Delhi and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Goverment of
India, New Delhi.
The college is associated to Bharath University, Chennai.
The college is a private, non-profit, self-financing Medical Institution,
pledged to the service of the community, catering to the health care needs of
the people in general, and especially to the needy, poor people, suffering
section of humanity.
Sri Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences &
Hospital offers Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course of
5½ years duration including 1 year of internship. During the internship period,
the students develop their key skills under highly skilled faculty. The college
is well equipped with all basic and necessary infrastructural facilities.
