Pondicherry Institute
of Medical Sciences is situated in Kalapet, Pondicherry/Puducherry. It was
started under the Madras Medical Mission, a registered Trust. The college is
asociated to Pondicherry University. The institute is aimed at giving good
training and education to produce qualified and competent Doctors.
Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences & Research has
received approval of Medical Council of India (MCI) New Delhi and recognized by
the state government. The college provides number of opportunities to its
students to gain practical experiences under careful supervision of highly
skilled faculty. All the available medical courses are approved by Medical
Council of India (MCI), New Delhi.
Eligibility:
Undergraduate:
Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate
or equivalent examination in one and same attempt from an institution situated
in the state of Maharashtra with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology
(Botany and Zoology) and must have obtained at least 50 %. Minimum eligible age
is 25 years to apply for the course.
Post Graduate:
Candidate must have passed MBBS degree from a medical
college recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) and who has obtained full
registration either from MCI or any of the state council after passing final
MBBS examination and has completed one year Internship.

Applicants are selected on the basis of CETPPMC conducted by
the state government.\

Selection Procedure:
The Selection of the Candidate is done on the basis of
Personal Interviews and Group Discussion.
