Sri Venkateswara
/Venkateshwaraa Medical College Hospital & Research Centre is situated
in Ariyur, Puducherry/Pondicherry. The college was begin was started in the
year 2007 and is managed under the Ramachandra Educational Trust, a registered
Trust. It is affiliated to Pondicherry University and Ministry of Health and
Family Welfare.

Centre has received approval of Medical Council of India (MCI), New Delhi and
is recognized by the state government. This institute is aimed at imparting
quality medical education in medical, paramedical and nursing field. Sri
Venkateshwaraa Medical College Hospital & Research Centre provides full
exposure to its students to the professional practices of healthcare.
SVIMS has been recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI)
since 2003 for conducting various DM, MCh, MD courses. In 2006, the Government
of India included SVIMS as one of the institutions for upgradation at par with
AIIMS, New Delhi under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY)
scheme.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must have successfully passed 10+2 or its equivalent education from any recognized board.
- Candidates must have secured minimum 50% of aggregate marks in qualifying examination
- Candidates must have attained minimum 17 years of age at the time of admission
- Candidates must have a valid entrance exam score for the admission
Admission Details:
Admission for the 5 and ½ year MBBS program at this college
is purely based on the merit obtained by an individual in the entrance
examination. To appear for any entrance examination candidates must have
successfully passed the +2 education.
