Sri Devaraj Urs University comprising Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College under the aegis of Sri Devaraj Urs Educational Trust for Backward Classes, Kolar, is a Deemed to be University declared Under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, vide Notification No.F.9-36/2006-U.3(A) Dt. 25th May 2007, MHRD, Government of India.

Admission Policy

Admissions to Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses are based on merit obtained in the Entrance Test conducted on an all India basis. 80% of the seats are reserved for General merit candidates. 15% of the seats are reserved for NRI / NRI sponsored and Foreign nationals. 5% of the seats are reserved under institutional preference quota.

Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College the constituent College of The University offers Post Graduate Courses in 15 subjects. Doctor of Medicine (M.D) courses in Medicine, Pediatrics, Radio-Diagnosis, Dermatology, Anesthesiology, Physiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Biochemistry and Master of Surgery (M.S) courses in Surgery, Orthopedics, Obstetrics, Gynecology, Otorhinolaryngology and Ophthalmology.

Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College the constituent College of The University offers Post Graduate Diploma Courses in 7 subjects. Degrees offered are D.A (Anesthesiology), D.Ortho (Orthopedics), D.C.H (Pediatrics) D.L.O. (ENT), D.G.O. (Obstetrics and Gynecology), D.O.M.S. (Ophthalmology), and D.M.R.D. (Radio-Diagnosis).
